Our commitment to the environment: reduce, reuse and recycle.

To reduce the impact of plastic on the environment, we established our own recycling company, Revalor, in 2020. As a result, 36.5% of our packaging is now made from recycled plastic resins.

CIRCULAR ECONOMY

The good we do comes back around.

In our factories, the entire production chain is conscious and sustainable from start to finish.

Through Revalor, a recycling company within the Lima & Pergher Group, and Repet, the largest manufacturer of plastic bottles in Minas Gerais, we implement circular economy practices in our processes. This approach minimizes waste, extends the lifespan of materials, and reduces the extraction of natural resources.

Revalor receives waste from collectors and cooperatives and transforms it into flakes, which Repet uses to produce new eco-friendly bottles, with recycled resin accounting for nearly 40% of its production.

In 2022, Brazil achieved a record 55% recycling rate for discarded PET bottles, a milestone that Start proudly helped to accomplish. The company plays an active role in the circular economy by collecting, sorting, and transforming used plastics into new bottles without relying on polluting transportation, thereby reducing CO2 emissions. Additionally, Start has reduced the weight of its packaging by up to 37% while maintaining quality and safety. This effort minimizes environmental impact and helps preserve natural resources.

NATIVE SEEDLING NURSERY

An initiative that is good for the eyes, warms the heart, and inspires.

To us, green means life. As part of our reforestation efforts, we’ve established a nursery of native seedlings dedicated to landscaping in our new headquarters, in an area set aside exclusively for their preservation. These plants are intricately connected to the water cycle and play a crucial role in conserving the soil.

The nursery idea adds value to the company’s green space. Our seedlings are used for internal projects, in collaborative actions with the community for environmental education and local landscaping. Each plant receives specialized care, including monitoring of temperature, humidity, nutrients, and daily attention to ensure healthy growth and development.

USE OF CLEAN ENERGY

Strength that is renewed every day.

Our manufacturing units operate with conscious energy use, relying entirely on 100% clean and renewable sources. The numbers make it easier to understand the impact of this attitude.

Since 2023, our Start, Repet, and Revalor factories have prevented the emission of 1,179 tons of CO₂—the equivalent of planting 919 football fields of trees.

Since moving to our new factory, we have prevented the emission of over 400 tons of greenhouse gases.

All warehouses feature natural lighting, with 4,740 m² covered in translucent materials to reduce energy use.

At Start, our commitment extends beyond efficient and innovative production. We prioritize practices that protect the environment, reinforcing our role as leaders in the shift toward a sustainable and responsible future.

SOLAR POWER PLANTS

The energy of the sun also moves us forward.

At Start, we are dedicated to preserving the planet by producing sustainable energy at our photovoltaic plant in Pedrinópolis (MG). Stay updated on this initiative!

Covering a total area of 72,680 m², our plant generates approximately 625,000 kWh of energy each month, with room for further growth.

This energy is fed into the local substation with an average loss of only 3%, ensuring the stability of the electrical grid and allowing for the commercialization of both energy and carbon credits.

The plant is divided into two units (PSP I and PSP II). We use high-quality materials, which are reflected in high efficiency and low energy loss.

In 2022, power generation exceeded expectations by 9.26%.
